Former President Donald Trump on Sunday called for recusal of the judge presiding over the federal case that alleges he illegally conspired to overturn his election loss to President Joe Biden in 2020.

Fuck that. Why the fuck should he get special treatment, other than solitary confinement to make sure that no one gets information from his stupid ass?

        • Because in the real world, the world were the GOP rigged the system, that isn’t going to happen. Would I like it? Hell yes. I’d buy a ticket to watch him hang. I’d rather see him in a hotel on lockdown that him walking the streets in front of a camera.

This is defeatist bullshit. We are a country of laws, not men. Or so it remains to be determined. Trump must not be treated with deference and penning him at mar-a-fucko or wherever isn’t going to cut it. You’d be locked up in a supermax for doing the same shit. FFS, he’s being charged under the Espionage Act.

Yes, but… *gestures broadly at everything.*

            • I would be locked up. I’m not rich and an ex president either. This fuck should be in prison for bullshit he’s done 40 years ago and has continued to do, but he’s got dirt on people and money. It’s not defeatist bullshit, it’s being realistic. IF you think he’s going to do hard time for anything, you really have no idea how things work. Is it right? Hell no, is there anything we can do about it? Again, hell no. No way in hell the people in power are going to let that happen because then we could go after them and they’d all be in prison leaving us with nobody to run shit.

He should consider himself lucky if he gets to die in supermax. The punishment for treason was public execution not all that long ago.

While the “public” part is undefined, the US Constitution lays out death as a potential punishment for treason, still.

100%. What the fuck do you think ought to happen to traitors?

Yes how absolutely unreasonable that an obese and nearly 80 year old criminal with multiple felony charges against him for some of the most serious crimes against our nation goes to a secure prison and serves his sentence like any normal person would. Wow. Relax guys.
