I’ve seen commentary from earlier this week which indicated that deleted video on an arrestee’s phone cannot be permanently scrubbed without authorized access (face scan, possibly fingerprint unlock?). Just as a general FYI: If you’re at all worried about something like this, disable biometric login, and use a PIN only. In some jurisdictions, police can compel you to unlock a phone using biometrics like fingerprints and facial recognition, but they cannot compel you to unlock it with a pin code without a judicial warrant.
Good to know, I’ll pass along the information to any Apple device users that I know. Do you have any idea when that feature was implemented (iPhone 1, 2, 3, 13)?

If you are an iPhone user and want to live dangerously, at least memorize this fact:
quickly tap the power button on the right side 5 times if you believe you are at any risk of having your phone confiscated.
This will put the phone into emergency mode, and will require a pin before face unlock can work again.

I don’t have a great way to verify this, but my understanding is that any iPhone that has face unlock has this feature.
