Not necessarily. I’ve seen commentary from earlier this week which indicated that deleted video on an arrestee’s phone cannot be permanently scrubbed without authorized access (face scan, possibly fingerprint unlock?). The poster from Long Island Audit was featured on TYT, and was able to recover footage from their phone’s Recently Deleted section: https://youtu.be/nrekKVXlsNY?t=295

If you are an iPhone user and want to live dangerously, at least memorize this fact:

quickly tap the power button on the right side 5 times if you believe you are at any risk of having your phone confiscated.

This will put the phone into emergency mode, and will require a pin before face unlock can work again.

Good to know, I’ll pass along the information to any Apple device users that I know. Do you have any idea when that feature was implemented (iPhone 1, 2, 3, 13)?

I don’t have a great way to verify this, but my understanding is that any iPhone that has face unlock has this feature.

That’s good to know, narrows it down at the very least.

Sound advice, PIN is where it’s at. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone having biometric access enabled, face scan or otherwise, whether or not they’re planning to attend a demonstration.
