Rain
We were going to make this a wet weather challenge, but wet weather requires paid mods. Please let us know if you’re happy for that. We will write up a guide for this if we have a wet challenge.

How about this but with a GT3 or GT4 car? Many sims have this track so we’re not stuck with a sketchy stolen track. Also to have a break from openwheelers.
Seems a bit harsh to call a converted track sketchy by default.
Almost no mod is going to be made by hand when laser scanned track versions from reputable companies exist. In this case it happens to be converted from a track made by the same base company in the first place.
They also didn’t pass it off as their own and were forthcoming that it was from ACC.
I’ve had this discussion with people who worked on content for ACC and the takeaway was that is def not appreciated by the creators or company. They accept that rips and converts is inevitable, so it is up to each individual to consider the source and what they are morally okay with. As game artist myself I wouldn’t appreciate my own work to be used outside of the intended context, even if the source was clear.
Either way, that is why I suggested a common car and track combo that can be done without mods in other sims. I don’t care what others choose to do, now that I’ve made my stance clear.
That’s a fair enough opinion, as a developer of various crap and even more specifically specific ECU tunes used for performance events etc…I’m a bit opposite in I find it slightly annoying companies and people want to keep everything close to themselves and not share anything.
Especially if it doesn’t impact them if it’s being used on another one of their own products. But that’s just my stance.
I can see both viewpoints as equally valid.
As for the car suggestions I’m just GT3’d out, that’s all sim racing has been for the past few years hah! But I’ll drive what the people vote for regardless!
Fair enough, I can def see where those who take mods from anywhere come from. I just hope these challenges won’t rely on it too much.
Happy to keep that in mind. Feel free to put forward suggestions!
One idea is to use a common GT3 car. Such as the Audi R8 LMS 2016. it’s in AC, ACC and iR. The track is paid content in both ACC and iR, so there chances of people here having it is good, though the iR version of the R8 is a bit stronger.
Alternatively. RSS Formula 3 V6, it has a very similar power/weight ratio to the IndyPro PM-18 in iRacing.
Agreed, I’m all for some variability in what sim and cars we use!
