It probably wouldn’t work with Lemmy, but kbin users could do it. Might give the fediverse more attention, but it would need to be more original than a r/place clone.

Those centralised events, and they are fun because they are centralised.
Someone could start an event, and many can join. But it will never be all emcompassing centralised.
