Just because in my earlier years I considered myself a conservative, I’d argue that there are many that are simply ill-informed, ignorant, or misguided (at least, that was my experience).
If they’re still conservative after being exposed to and considering arguments from both sides, then they’re either arguing in bad faith or practicing “ostrich logic”
There hasn’t been a single time in the past 3 decades where a republican didn’t argue in bad faith.
