All countries exclusively make moves that advance their own interests. That’s just how the world of geopolitics works. So no, I don’t think the US or Israel are attacking the islamic regime in order to help the Iranian people. That being said, the Iranian people are also only looking out for themselves, and this just happens to be a moment where the goals of the Iranian people align with Israel and the US. They all want the islamic regime gone.

It’s important to note that Iranians are not stupid. They know that Israel and the US are not there to be their heroes and they know that it’ll take a lot more violence and bloodshed to take down the regime. However, the regime has been so ruthless and oppressive that most Iranians have come to accept that this is the only way to overthrow the regime. They’ve been trying to overthrow the regime with mass uprisings for well over a decade, and every time they get squashed by the regime committing atrocities against the people as necessary. Getting rid of this regime without external intervention is simply impossible.

Keep in mind, Iranians are not looking for a new management, they’re looking to take their country back. They will not accept any government that doesn’t accept their will, their freedoms, or their rights. Iran is not for the mullahs or the monarchy or the Israelis or the Americans, it’s for the Iranian people only. Any outside power that could help take down the regime and give the people the opportunity to take their country back is an ally. and will remain so unless they cross the line of trying to replace the oppressive regime with one of their own.
