There are so many people claiming to be good drivers while ignoring every safety rule there is. Stay within the speed limit, keep the distance to the car in front of you, use the indicator,…
The problem is that streets and signs are so dumbed down that even the dumbest driver gets a false sence of “wow, I am quite good at this”. And they are getting more reckless because of this thought.
Anyway, I like your approach to count yourself as a bad driver. Because we all are bad drivers, including me. This thought alone could save lifes.
Sorry I hurt your feelings somehow, I assure you I was genuinely joking, but since you decided to pull the “Schrödinger’s douchebag” card I don’t really give a shit what you think.
Humor doesn’t exist, you just proved it right there, you must be German.
“Prejudice can be an affective feeling towards a person based on their perceived group membership.”
My feelings toward him are not based on group membership. That being said, how would you know I have no German ancestry? Especially considering my also (evidently) dry humor. (If you can’t tell that was another attempt at humor)
Besides all that though, I am sorry for what I said to him and actually regret saying it. Going back and reading what he said, it is apparent that he was adding to the joke while still asserting his stance and I acted way fucking out of line, I misplaced it as hostility and should have thought more into it before I replied (though honestly at the time I was having a bad day and probably would not have got it then anyways).
Regardless, that is no excuse for how I acted and I am sorry for it. If he sees this, I hope he can forgive me for my behavior and completely understand if he does not as he’d be justified in not doing so. I like to keep an air of positivity in my actions and I let my bitterness get the best of me. I am sorry.
I wouldn’t go on to say that I am a Schrödinger’s douchebag so much as an actual asshole, which I consider to be far worse. I know it is a silly little internet debacle but there is still a person on the other end of that screen, and I still said what I said to him.
I spend time driving in Los Angeles.
Cars are bad for everything. Bad drivers (which is everyone, including me) only make it worse.
