What is this actually? Is this prepared incorrectly or is this a pasta dish I’ve never seen?

It’s ‘French style’ ravioli or Ravioles Du Dauphiné

It’s just trendy not to cut up the sheet at the moment.

In my experience when you order normal ravioli you get like 5 at the most. So even with some self check out style labor at the table, this seems worth it.

Yeah but they are “big” ravioli, these guys are tiny ones. They are like a third of the size. If you spread out your 5 ravioli like they were in a sheet it would be pretty close.

That said 5 ravioli is likely a serving of pasta but as you do, I feel like it’s not enough.

I think maybe pasta portions are a bit out of control but it’s also why I don’t get Italian food very often because a lot of it is mediocre and I don’t want to pay 40 bucks for 5 ravioli.

This is exactly why I only ate pierogis once during my erasmus semester in Poland. Compared to other dishes, we could call it a scam

Ok but that does look really good even if my yank ass wants to slather it in an Italian style sauce. Actually, nah, that needs dunked in a bechamel with some lemon and a complimentary cheese or a french style tomato sauce. Maybe serve with a ramekin of each
