Costco bulldozed a poor black neighborhood in my city, despite protests at city hall. They have been dead to me since. They’ve done some good for sure but they are materially wiping people’s lives and history off the map just like any other corporate entity hell bent on growth.
We talk about the sins of the past often, but excuse the ones in the present with such ease.
