I broke the speed limit on my bicycle. I mean yeah, the speed limit was 15, and the motor on my bike tops out at 20, and I had to go looking for a speed limit lower than 25, and I wasn’t pedaling, and the speedometer on my bike said 17.4mph. damn breaking the speed limit on your bike feels really good. I really accomplished something today.

i’ve got a recumbent trike (there’s two kinds, delta which are the kind we all grew up with (two wheels in back), and tadpole has two wheels in front and is cool looking. i got the cool looking one). they drop us close enough our knuckles can scrape the ground, which makes our speeds feel much faster than they actually are.
that’s not why i bought it, but it’s a fun bonus. right now 25-30mph (40-50kph) (20mph with my motor) is fast enough and where i’m traveling currently has enough bike lanes, trails, or 25mph roads to get me where i need to get. that right there, i’m incredibly lucky.
