I broke the speed limit on my bicycle. I mean yeah, the speed limit was 15, and the motor on my bike tops out at 20, and I had to go looking for a speed limit lower than 25, and I wasn’t pedaling, and the speedometer on my bike said 17.4mph. damn breaking the speed limit on your bike feels really good. I really accomplished something today.

Those food delivery couriers often use nodded ebikes here. For anything beyond 25km/h one needs registration, insurance, driving licence, number plate, helmet, etc. here. Guess what, they have none of it. But they are racing through the pedestrian zone like that.
Yeah fuck going faster than walking/light jog in the pedestrian area. Even when it looks clear. People jump out of godsdamned nowhere and next person who intentionality gets in an accident with me, I’m taking their arms. Like their literal arms I need two more to become the weirdo I’ve always dreamed of becoming.
It could be worse. Ebikers in pedestrian zones, especially those food delivery guys with the illegally manipulated bikes that go way faster than 25km/h.
the food delivery people do about the same here. i think the limit for electric motors is 250w and combustion is 50cc, but you will see their bikes going like 50.
