The reality is that a lot of people are just not that clever. They are contrarians. That is why the US invading Iraq is bad, but Russia invading Ukraine is good. That’s why the US has blood on its hands for the genocide of Native Americans, but not the Russian Federation for steps of equal or greater measure.

We are so easy to divide, and the most violent and genocidal tended to seize control of movements in history. Because we fight each other instead of them.

If I tallied the amount of times I’ve seen tankies on this site vs number of times I’ve seen someone freaked out about them it would be something like 0/200 and it’s been like a day.
