From Chrissie Gaines

Our Mckinder’s Eagle Owl is growing fast, we think he is a male but not certain, looking for an African Name for him.

The Mckinder’s Eagle Owl is the largest of the 3 subspecies of Cape Eagle Owls of sub-Saharan Africa, found in southern Kenya and northern South Africa.

Everything I can find says they can eat these guys, called the rock hyrax. They look like a tan egg, but it says they weigh 4-5kg/9-11lb, but the owl only weighs 1.2-1.8kg/2.5-4.0lb. Maybe just young ones? I couldn’t find any better info.
