I like the concept of these phones, but I think it’s still a few years off being viable. Half the price and improve the battery, then I’ll be interested.
I really like the concept, but i feel like the screen would scratch for anything. On most reviews I’ve seen that get marked by nails! I just know I’d crack mine with my fingers
What is your most used app/s on the internal screen? Gen 5 and I finally decided to give it a try due to the great trade in $1000 for a s20ultra … but I’m having an issue finding a good use for the Internal screen just feels like a lot of the apps I use are stretched out. But the Notes app is a very nice experience with the pen on the internal display.

Since gen 1 I’ve been saying “gen 5 is where I’ll start to think about eventually buying one of these”, and I feel exactly like this right now
I bought a gen2 and then upgraded to a gen3 for the splash protection.
I have no reason to upgrade yet. Battery is fine for me, and the durability has been great.
I could never go back to a normal phone.

The screen has a screen protector it comes with.
I’ve never scratched my screen in the years I’ve had mine.

I use the internal screen for 90% of things. Mostly lemmy, photo editing, work email and texts , texts , you name it.
Half the price will come in about 8 months, Samsung does pretty deep discounting when the calendar year rolls over.
Battery life though, is the another issue. Fold 5 on GSMArena’s review has slightly worse battery life than the Fold 4.
