I mean, it seems pretty easy to do. That way we could diffrenciate between users much easier and help it feel more like a community.

      I found it’s slightly less intuitive to add a pfp on Lemmy as compared to reddit. On reddit it’s literally on the front screen while in Lemmy you have to go into the settings.

      It isn’t hard, but seeing that the average user here was previously a redditor, it’s still enough of a difference

        I’m on a desktop browser and I just went to try to work out how to upload an avatar on reddit. I really struggled!

        I found I could create a “snoovatar” easily enough. Found that option on both old reddit and new reddit.

        I couldn’t find the option to upload a profile image at all on old reddit, and on new reddit I finally found it in the user settings, basically the same place as lemmy has it.

        Did I miss something? Or were you referring to the “snoovatar” thing?

      But then I’d have to pick something that doesn’t reveal anything about me, why should I make that effort?
