De Zerbi alone deserves the credit for keeping Spurs in the Premier League. Too often this season the club looked like it was falling apart

Tottenham really needs a massive overhaul.

From what I’ve read and heard: the owners are too focused on cutting corners financially over long-term investment; they give increasingly little time or faith to managers; the squad is an incoherent mess ability-wise due to the club going with ever-changing management styles; the management structure is filled with people who are either out of their depth or not emotionally invested; the squad unity is falling apart; the club in general has a defeated mentality, too focused on what others are doing and not on what they should be striving for themselves.

Tottenham fans should brace for a rough few years. De Zerbi is a good manager so that’s a good start for then. And with him at the helm they should be able to stay in the PL - IF they keep him. But look at what happened to him at Marseilles. It’ll take more than a manager and a couple of big name players to fix this. The rot is all the way through the club’s hierarchy.
