minus-squarePronelllinkfedilinkarrow-up3·16 days agoAccording to Wikipedia, the Japanese 7-Eleven corporation was founded in cooperation with the Southland Corp back in '59. They were then successful enough to buy out their sorta parent company later down the road. Apparently it’s complicated. I had suspected that this was a spinoff situation but not starting back in the '50s.

According to Wikipedia, the Japanese 7-Eleven corporation was founded in cooperation with the Southland Corp back in '59.
They were then successful enough to buy out their sorta parent company later down the road.
