Nope, I’m not over hot air balloons yet. To be fair this is only the second one, but I feel like it’ll be at least multiple more.

Amazing thank you!
Do you have any more detailed explaination on what that means haha! No worries if not as I understand this isn’t a tutorial, just curious as I have only ever used block colour and have no idea how to go about this. I will try either way 🤣
These are screenshots of the settings I primarily change to get it. Another way is to reduce opacity of the brush and slowly work up to a blended look a brush stroke at a time which is what I used to do before Photoshop way back in the before times.
That’s so cool! Thank you so much
You’re welcome and good luck!
Edit: I also render only on one layer, not multiple. The sketch / drawing is on a layer and the rendering / painting is on a separate layer. No more than that.
I find when using multiple layers the different elements look more like I cut them out of a magazine and pasted them on than part of the same painting.
Yeah that makes sense. You can see that from your timelapse. The way you remove the sketch shows that a layer, and the way the colour blends show a layer. And the way it blends between mountains to backdrop before you remove thay sketch. It’s a really cool affect! My stuff is way more layered and blocky so trying this is blowing my mind a little 🤣
This is from about two and a half years ago, one of my first attempts at a landscape.
I was in the same boat two or so years ago. I only did cartoons and sketches and was completely afraid of landscapes. If you scroll back on my post history you can see my growth.
I worked at it, studied people, went to in person painting sessions, and so on to focus on getting better. No doubt you can do it, just keep painting and improving.
Man that’s so cool. Imitation is the best form of flattery. This is just my finger on a phone screen but the ideas add up. Going to see what I can do with it with some more time! Thanks again
Looks great! Nice work! I look forward to seeing more.
