His government would not be like Donald Trump’s first administration, initially unsure of how to wield power, but like the second, ready to go from the start.
I think about this “dream” a lot.
MAGA basically got the whole hog. Trump is back, in full control. And I actually sympathize with many of the points their policy ostensibly tries to address.
Sometimes I see reports of more mellow cabinet members doing some good.
…So sometimes, with everything that’s obviously going wrong, I remember that things were pretty screwed up anyway and think, just maybe, Trumpism as a wrecking ball could help.
I kinda fantasize about it correcting some trajectories. Like MAGA dreams about.
…But it sure doesn’t seem to be happening.
If I was diehard MAGA, I would not be happy with this second term. It’s like the opposite of what was promised.
I don’t mean to go all US centric.
I just find it odd that the UK’s alt right would point to Trump’s second term as an aspiration, as things do not seem to be going well on this side of the pond. It seems like the kind of sentiment that could backfire.
