I think we might have a similar work background. Mechatronics is so much fun. To do a little of everything, CAD, 3D printing, PCB design, soldering, wood working, welding, programming and then have something functional that didn’t exist before is so enjoyable. Same with upcycling like what you’re saying. Seems like something that could be a feature added onto select libraries as they are fundamentally for the philanthropic sharing of knowledge.
A friend in college had an idea for a website like this kind of centered around skill sharing aka people would post skills or ask for help and trade work to better their community. Example being someone’s bike is broken and then someone who is handy helps them and they get the “karma” on the website.
