From Rebecca Craig
While hiking at sunrise one morning, I was treated to one of those unforgettable moments that makes every early wake-up worth it. Peeking out from a cavity in a towering saguaro was this adorable Western Screech- Owlet, quietly watching the desert come to life as the first golden rays of sunlight touched the landscape. I always get an adrenaline rush when I actually see something peeking out of the saguaros.

Quick reminder: if you haven’t seen me sharing a daily post to c/animals, you may wish to do so.
I highlight some great stories I come across while researching my owly content. Today I got an amazing success story of a hawk surviving being brought to an eagle’s nest.
