Just to clarify, I’m not worried about the workload; I’ve put in quite a bit of effort to moderate such spaces before.

I just don’t really want to do the contributing I was planning if someone else can unilaterally kick me off the team at any time for any or no reason.

As an example, I currently moderate under someone else on another platform who has done literally nothing for years but come in every two weeks to Remove->Approve(x5) to hit the minimum activity levels set by the admins. Oh, and the occasional permanent ban of someone with no activity there and no explanation.

Lemmy is chill. You want I ask that you be made the supermod? I had to do that for myself for the other community when the original guy disappeared. You or I can ask for Spicyjimmy to be removed because he has disappeared, and adjust it so you are main.

ETA if you want to make this request, the place is Lemmy World Support community they are the admins and they are pretty responsive.

A bit, yeah. As I said I’m happy to help out but I’d be offering far less labor as the lowest ranking member on the team below an inactive person.

If I were to go to the admins, I think there was far more cause for you and me to be added than there is cause for me to be ranked above you, from an unbiased third party perspective.

I don’t know if you can re-arrange the order yourself. I’m still poking around learning the Lemmy mod tools.

As for spicyjimmy I’m happy to leave him on the list, especially in case he ever comes back. I see no significant downside to that.
