    I realised it’s not a real map …

    But I thought there was maybe some reason behind why some countries where relocated and others weren’t.

      There’s some reason. It’s a horizontally flipped map of europe (except for Iceland, Spain and Portugal). The British Isles and Sardinia are scaled to resemble the rough layout of the “base” continent.

        I agree. However I also got an reply from the creator of the map and he said it was just a joke. But there is more.

        My hypothesis is, it’s basically half assed. They tried to make a map of Europe, but inverted but didn’t finish. Like why is Italy just plasterd over North Germany?

        I think they tried something but couldn’t be arsed to finish.

          Yeah and France is bleeding out, but the western part is perfectly normal. The map doesn’t hold up to scrutiny but I liked the little mindfuck and chuckle.

          tbh I think the Italy part is kinda genius because it gives (at very first glance) the appearance of not only denmark, but a little bit of scandinavia is there. So there’s not just “nothing” and the mind fills it out with scandinavia at first
