Russia launched a major overnight aerial attack on Kyiv, killing several people and injuring dozens more. Russia’s intensified attacks come as Ukraine’s own drone campaign against Russian military sites and energy facilities has caused fuel shortages and disrupted supply lines there. Ukraine says the goal is to take the war to Russia and to get Vladimir Putin to agree to end the conflict. So despite these latest explosions rocking the Ukrainain capital, has something shifted in this long grinding war? Does Ukraine have the momentum? And is Volodymyr Zelenskyy pushing Putin into a corner he’ll struggle to get out of?

This is the “revenge” from Russia for the successful Ukrainian attacks on St. Petersburg and Moscow.
Sadly there are serious civilian casualties, but it’s remarkable the way the video describes how competent the Ukrainian authorities respond to the situation.
It is also remarkable IMO how the video doesn’t describe a single significant military or strategic target was hit in this biggest assault on Ukraine during the entire war, meaning the Russian strategy is to terrorize civilians rather than achieving any military goals. Which since WW2 has been well known to be a failing strategy.
It is also very telling how the Ukrainian attacks aim for strategic targets of military significance have succeeded in disrupting Russian infrastructure way more than these Russian attacks on civilians.
And that the sentiment among Russians is now turning more against the leadership that is causing this, while Ukrainians mostly understand the need to defend themselves.
We don’t know how long Russia prepared for this attack, and how bad it will be in the coming days, but this is the result of several weeks of preparation, and probably about as strong an attack on Ukraine as Russia is capable of for a while.
Ukraine on the other hand has “promised” a 40 days and nights attack on Russia! AFAIK with the attack on Moscow being day 1.
Clearly that day 1 was the most powerful too, but Ukraine is executing an actual plan, where it seems like Russia had a “panic attack” as I would like to call it, because it looks like it was an attack with no plan, it was just an attempt to make a show of force to scare the Ukrainians off, which is a strategic huge blunder, and wouldn’t even be worthy to be called a tactic. It’s more like a typical knee jerk reaction, by Putin who think that he can control people with fear.
Slava Ukraini.
