I think I made it quite clear in both my words and my actions that I prefer “do better,” but that I was unwilling to settle for “the lives of everyone I love get substantially worse” if I couldn’t get it. And OH WOW exactly what I said would happen…happened.
Look, I’m not even saying that you were morally wrong. I’m saying that even if you aren’t you made the most baffling, illogical choice possible given the information at your disposal, that it turned out predictably, that it didn’t change the DNC establishment’s direction a fraction of a degree, and that the only thing that has shown any signs of doing so at all in the past 18 years is that a smart, capable man who is willing to work with them instead of against them got elected mayor of New York and started actually changing the minds of voters to get them more engaged, not less.
