Edit: Hopefully it goes without saying, don’t adopt pets to show off on social media (Nemo effect). I don’t think Lemmy users would do that, but you never know. Above duck was given to a family (single mom and her kid I believe) a few years ago and would be with them on their street stand. They put on a football jersey during the tournament to help sell more items, they did not expect the duck to become more famous than the official mascots and get a wikipedia page (and meet the president of Mexico in some controversial twist of fame [due to other more pressing issues]):
