it would’ve been great series of standalone movies with Constantine being this supernatural Marlowe. or even some demonic pulp thing - imagine a Fistful of Dollars but about demons and Constantine scheming their conflicts.
back when there was this weird DCEU Swamp Thing series they literally threatened they are going to do that down the line. So the series got cancelled before the first episode aired.
