Remember my first job, they said it was “against company culture” to discuss salaries.
This was at the same company where my manager happily told me I’m getting a raise because the minimum of the engineering salary range has increased.
It was a hint of your manager to leave.
Only if it were, they wouldn’t have got surprized when I did in fact leave.
That team was amazing though, but corporate sucked ass. It was both the best and worst job I had, everything since is run-of-the-mill in comparison.
