    They’re not the only ones.

    I do think this is much stronger aversion than the previous dislike for CGI generally, though. We hate it in principle as much as for the results. The question is, how long before we’re not able to spot it? Not much longer, methinks.

      Everyone is different…

      But the only way people fall for it, is if it drastically improves after someone grows up.

      In 20 years it’ll be a lot better, but any random kid will still be able to tell, even if no one alive right now would be able to.

      But again, human variation. Some people can just always tell.

      Humans are pattern recognition machines, this isn’t a new skill humans are having to learn. It’s what we’ve been evolving for since before we were humans.

      The big danger is AI upscaling normal pictures for no reason, that makes everything look like AI and harder to tell because there’s false positives from the upscaling.

      But that’s the only way to fool everyone, making every real picture look like AI, because they can’t make AI look convincingly real. I’ve unfortunately seen a few media organizations start doing it
