I recently got a Dierya 65% keyboard, and think it is rather thick.

Is this normal for a mechanical keyboard? Or is the Dierya exceptional high? Do you use a wrist rest? If so, is there anything special to look out for? Or will any wrist rest do?

I don’t, but I don’t really hover all the time either. I’m an elbows on the table kinda guy. The meat of my forearm rests on the table. If I do that and face the back of my hand skywards the wrist is naturally floating off the ground without any strength used. When my fingers are resting on the keys, it is the same position except the hand slightly tilted upwards because of the thickness. My keys can resist the little additional weight of the tilted hand. If I am typing I am kind of hovering, which takes almost zero energy in this position. I don’t know if my keyboard is super thick (definitely not thick like some vintages ones), but it is not thin either.
