They’re fun little guys. I don’t do much with the grown up ones, so not sure how different they get by then, but the majority of the little ones are pretty good. Even when they try to act tough they are still pretty cute. We had a little one still curled up in its hammock but making the chompy face at us at the same time. You have to at least try to sell it a little bit you’re dangerous, little possy!

I’m more scared of the back end than the front end. Part of them playing dead is smelling dead and they have some dark magic glands to “help” with that. 🤢

I’m a huge fan overall though. Can’t help but love our only marsupial!

I remember reading that they release a foul-smelling odor when playing dead, I would be wary of that back end too 😭

And I remember seeing videos of tiny opossums hissing and acting tough. “But you are so smol and adorable!” I thought.

The sleepy one was hissy when it got put back in the pen after cleaning it. The ones that lunge are my favorite. It’s soooo dramatic, and I have had a few bite me, but they really just want to run and/or makes themselves very smelly/poopy so you won’t eat them. As soon as I put them back and leave them be, the almost always go right to eating and napping again.
