That’s true, but it’s worse here in my opinion due to the general lack of interactions and traffic here, if someone doesn’t like my post I at least want to know why. Here it seems a person can get a - rating below zero and no one is even telling the OP why. It’s weird. I also think the Discord is fairly better as well.

Reddit just hide negative score, you can definitely get under zero. As to if the downvoter given feedback or not, it’s personal preference. You could call it cultural or momentum, but I could also point out at least there’s no “keep Perchance secret fight club” moment here.

Although the dev did drop explanation there once or twice, it’s explicited explained that the official forum already migrated to here, and here we got more direct dev comments. I would not recommend ditch either sites. My honest take is Lemmy migration is a wrong move, idk what’s the hostile towards development, maybe no Carousel feed to events? Which event taken down for the moment now. But what’s done is done. Reddit is more like casual Perchance and promotion place and minor shit posting at this point. Neither place is fundamentally superior or evil. Fragmental as Perchance always is.

Yeah, I agree that the whole idea that some users have about keeping Perchance secret is pure nonsense, because without a steady flow of users the websites and ad money will dry up. That said Perchance seems to be increasing in popularity rather than losing it, so whatever dumb plan some of them have is not working.

I think the reason most of the users have not migrated here is due to accessibility, a lot of people already have their reddit accounts set up and ready, just casually moving through subreddits.
