    He has used it over HF but I don’t think he did it in a band he is supposed to be using for this kind of thing. He did say the test was made using dummy loads over short range to stay legal. If I remember correctly, those HF bands have additional restrictions that prevent use for mesh networking

      Oh, well, I’m blind, so I wasn’t able to see what frequency he was using in the video, if he ever showed it.

      As for whether there are additional restrictions for the HF-ISM bands for mesh networking, I’m not sure.

        It may have been in a different video where he showed it working on his licensed VHF frequency. He has a business license for a frequency in the 70cm band so he can do encrypted radio traffic on it. He just talked about using HF with dummy loads to test if it worked.

        I think the vhf and hf ISM bands are limited to “mobile radio” and I’m not sure what that means but it likely prevents using encrypted data.
