    Signups will likely be Jan-March. They’ll talk to you to make sure you have a realistic impression of the work and to go over your commitments, and we have to do a quick online state background check since we have children on site for programs, but it’s all very simple.

    After my first year showing them I’m reliable and open to giving extra help, they’ve invited me to work on a number of special projects and have taught me to care for more advanced technique animals, so just be reliable and follow instructions and many opportunities will quickly open up for you.

    Google or the links in the Superbowl sidebar should help you find a place, and just check out their website or social media to make sure they deal with animals you are interested in. We get licensed separately for mammals, birds, raptors, reptiles, rabies vectors, etc, so there are places that do everything and places that may only do one or 2 animals. We have some that only do squirrels, only rabbits, only bats, etc, so that can be a pro or con depending on what you wish to do.
