Between the stories I share here and watching some of the birds that nest at my house, I’ve found birds to be shockingly marvelous parents. The amount of time and work that it takes to raise a bird from egg to fledging, and the lack of intimidation they show chasing off threats of any kind never ceases to surprise me.
