    yeah but the outrage over it makes lemmy posters feel smug and superior and lets them indulge in violent fantasies of beating people up. plus you know, facebook makes them and anyone who uses any product by them is clearly a terrible awful bad person, and not a morally upstanding person, or something. they also love to fantasize about assaulting cybertruck drivers.

    because you know nobody can have a legitimate reason for purchasing, using, or enjoying either of these products. they’re all just creepy weirdos or something.

    you see it’s only bad when other folks judge and justify violence against groups of people for how they look or how they dress or what they own. when I, a very brave linux using heroic user of the fediverse, do that, it’s all good and justified and correct.

      I mean I have been using Linux since before Ubuntu was a thing, but I don’t share most of the views you suggest. Am I the problem? Should I embrace violence and outrage? Would that make me happier?
