As you can see they edited their original comment and added a comment to try to justify their behavior after they had banned me when I couldn’t defend myself.

I did make a mistake and thought that flatworm and db0 voted to refederate with hexbear and not lemmygrad but voting to refederate with lemmygrad doesn’t help disprove the claim that db0 is anti-tankie.

The tankies have been working on db0 for a while but I think it isn’t taking as well as they would like. The vote (a year ago) was overwhelmingly against refederation, and I’ve seen a reasonable amount of pushback to their bullshit recently as well.

The one and only difference is that we aren’t constantly at each other’s throats nowadays. I’d say everyone just grew up a bit. Shame it’s not happening over the aisles in centristville.

The instance’s decisions are still community-driven through votes, so even if that were the case it’s still up to dbzer0’s community whether or not refederation would happen. If either of the two were to suddenly make a unilateral decision without anyone else’s input, I’d imagine the community would be upset about it as that goes against the instance’s principles.

People can vote to federate for a variety of reasons. I chose my instance because I like seeing everything that’s going on, not because I agree with authoritarians or maga. Some of us want to choose our experience for ourselves.
