    I meant these days, not in the Dune universe. Stuff like people passing AI-generated stuff as human-generated, and businesses replacing workers with AI.

    Neural networks have existed for decades, but it’s only in the last few years have companies started replacing people with the technology en masse.

      That’s because the ability to barf out language that sounds reasonably like a person might have written it is relatively new. It makes it easier to fool the non-technical and the idiots that it’s actually AI in the sci-fi sense. Makes for really good marketing to fools with your money.
