Not criticizing, but I am curious what you were expecting upon joining a “guns” community. Were you looking for more ForgottenWeapons, “check out this cool museum piece” type stuff?
So I’m still trying to figure out how exactly Lemmy works, but this showed up on the main tab (I did not join this community or instance or whatever, sorry I’m still figuring this out). But they may have had a similar experience where they did not join.
Nothing wrong with that sentiment IMO. I’ve shot and owned all sorts of guns but consider myself very fortunate to have never needed to defend myself and hope to keep that shit up forever.

This is just a range toy. I don’t have any plans for making it a defensive/offensive weapon.
