Yeah, but it has a different flavor when the “person who you trusted” is your trusted person because they are violent, careless, and a narcissist, but they just promise to take you with them.
Anyone can fall into a cult, or an abusive relationship. Anyone can be misled in this way given enough time and resources. The question I have to remind everyone is
“How did they get hooked?”
These people were hooked with violence toward others and being “better than everyone else”. I have no sympathy, nor do I want them anywhere near me or power ever again.
