The handling of the show was rather odd in a good number of ways, not the least that it was canceled despite it obviously being quite popular with its audience even through all of Fox’s mishandling. It lost very little of its audience over the course of its run - something you wouldn’t see happen if the show was in any way a bad one.
I could give you more info, but I don’t want to put you off by seeming too rabid. It genuinely is a fantastic character-driven show, and you really should give it a whirl if you’re at all interested.
As much as I’ve seen people refer to it over the years, I should at least watch it to know what everyone is actually talking about.
I didn’t see the original Star Wars trilogy until I was in the mid to late 2000s. I don’t know how I never saw them growing up in the 80s, and with so many references and copycats over the years, I felt like I’d already seen enough of it. I checked out the prequel trilogy as it came out, and I think I saw all of those before the originals.
The originals are good, and I enjoyed Rogue One as well. The third trilogy with Rey just kinda felt like a mess, and Mandalorian was entertaining most of the time. I haven’t seen Clone Wars, but that’s on my eventually to do list since I like Gendy’s animation and I hear the story is good.
Those are some interesting decisions! Air the first last, and then call the last thing the first thing that you made the last thing… 🤯

I went to see the first prequel movie - it put me off enough not to bother seeing the others. The fun of the original trilogy was gone.
