On my side, I believe people can use whatever they want (even TempleOS). I use Fedora, but Windows in a VM for work. I used to sell Apple gear (and, Apple hardware is the ONLY hardware I’ve ever come across with really weird hardware design issues, like wireless mice that can’t be plugged in and use).

The irony is though, almost everyone uses Linux every day somehow (whether its embedded in some of their devices, like their router, or they use Android).

Also, this Lemmy instance probably runs on Linux…

Yeah, I do think that people can and should use whatever. As long as they are fine with the shortcomings of said OS, and it still works well with their workflow. I am starting to just give a shit about what I am using and only protesting the worst garbage big corpos are pulling (I pay attention to what is happening on other OS). Yeah, Linux is everywhere, as it can be made to be small and useful. So while one might use a MacOS or Windows device, they rely on Linux to connect to the web. I like Android because of the Linux Kernel underneath it all, but, I really would like to get a phone that is open source…Heh. One day, perhaps. As I use a Samsung at the moment.

I have a light pilot licence… The crap I’ve flown, probably only has an OS for the GPS/radio stack (Garmin).

Technically, not even sure they even have proper ECU’s…
