          said consumer apathy doesn’t come out of nowhere. consumers are not even most of the problem here. the problem is global capitalism. these companies have been grooming society at large to accept owning less, because we went along with it has a lot more to do with the kind of oppressive systems global capitalism thrives on than any sort of character issue with individual people.
