I asked them if they knew what bill it was part of, or what was actually going to be taxed, because you know, you can’t realistically fucking tax a camp fire. You could add tax to wood… But then you can just put a hotdog in a stick and suddenly it’s a cooking fire, not a camp fire. I outright said, "that sounds a lot like MAGAt trash’
So after more questioning i finally asked if they learned it from a Facebook picture with text on it. Ding ding ding!
Yes. They literally believe any stupid shit you post as long as it makes them angry. There was a bill proposed (HB 4459) with vague wording about a campfire tax. Pritzker didn’t propose it, and the bill got voted down earlier this year.
And yet MAGAt trash is still out there lying their ass off about it because they don’t have any actual policies or platform.
They’ve been conditioned to get dopamine from outrage over decades of right wing propaganda. That’s why they want to be angry and jump at any flimsy excuse to do so. It no longer has to even be believable. If they weren’t such pieces of shit, I would pity them for being reduced to anger zombies.
