From Wildlife Haven
This little Northern Saw-whet Owl arrived at Wildlife Haven two weeks ago with a serious head injury. She had multiple lacerations and puncture wounds on her head, along with a large area of missing feathers.
Our veterinary team provided specialized wound care, along with pain management and supportive treatments to help this tiny patient heal. In just two weeks, this owl has made great progress! The wounds have healed, her feathers are starting to grow back, and she’s back to flying! We’re now just waiting for a little more feather growth before this little owl is cleared for release and ready to return to the wild where she belongs.

Their colors are so rich, and it’s a nice contrast to all the other owls with detailed patterns. And of course they still have those big beautiful eyes!
