I’m asking if it seems like there is intent to create an actually erotic or romantic mood despite the more outlandish subjects? Or is it tongue-in-cheek and played for laughs, in the vein of parodies where “Chad’s sack gurgled with desire and activated FMC’s womanly urges”?
The one or two stories that I’ve read are surreal rather than straightforwardly romantic. However he has a whole lot of stories, so I can’t speak for all of them and only hope that there’s some variety.
