This kind of crap also happened when Elden Ring came out. You could jump through hoops to apply a patch to make run better than Windows for about a month. The official patch came out and changed things, but LiGNUts continue to inform people that it performed better on Linux.
I was an Arch user, with DWM and 12 manually installed patches with Elden Ring at the time. Even I didn’t bother jumping through those ridiculous hoops.

You mentioned dx12, but most game engines used offer multiple backends specifically because engines like vulkan is more portable and works on more platforms

In my case, no man’s sky was literally unplayable on Windows on rog Ally, and because steam uses their own compositor in Linux, it resolved all the issues with games not closing properly, etc which armory crate can’t fix.
Don’t really care to read coping. Paying a premium for a graphics card to run 15% sub par and trying to justify it by making sacrifices is pretty pathetic.
