I’ve had bad luck with acrylic based inks. The oil (water soluble) ones look way better.
Here are my tips for using it.
I bought an elastic clothes line with clips and hung up in my apartment out of the way because the ink takes a few days to dry fully. Use this to hang your prints while they dry.
Although the ink says it’s water soluble, here is something important about clean up. Firstly, slather all components (roller and plate) in dawn dish soap first BEFORE adding water. Or you won’t ever get that ink off.
Secondly. You still will probably need to use some paint thinner to fully clean everything.
Clean as best you can with soap and water. Dry off with paper towels then use thinner to get the rest off.
my last tip is the brayer. I started with some medium priced ones I got online somewhere. Generic no brand.
Black roller.
No. These are bad. Get the speedball brand one. The tan roller. This made such a huge big gigantic difference. The speedball ones are expensive. But it’s worth it.
Maybe that’s what you are using already. If not, try to get one.
Also kudos on a 2 color print. Multicolor is extra work and a bit challenging. 💜
