It’s a choice and a great villain for Marvel. Adam Driver is not a name that would be the first or second round of choice for the role and this could be eye opening.
Rise of Skywalker wasn’t that long ago, and he’s been in movies directed by Ridley Scott and Francis Ford Coppola since then. So I wouldn’t say he’s avoiding blockbusters, just that the movies he’s been in haven’t performed that well. Not because of him, but just because the Last Duel was kinda boring and Megalopolis was… well Megalopolis.
