Electric shock gloves are making headlines after Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced it was planning to outfit its agents with the technology. They've already been used in Nebraska for years.

They have been used twice since officers received training on them at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, and are only in use at middle and high schools.

In one case at a high school, the officer used a glove on a student for “noncompliance.”

In short, the purpose is to torture kids

    I’ve read that some models do keep a timestamp record of when they were used but I’m guessing wiping the records is trivial.
